The Newhall Orange is a delicious navel orange, it is characterized by a low acidity, making it perfect for a delicious orange juice
Visually, the Newhall is oval (sometimes also round) and is one of the rather larger orange varieties. Normally, the fruits weigh from 140 g up to 300 g.
The skin is intensely orange and is smooth. It is easy to peel and seedless.
Taste-wise, the fruit presents itself very sweet and less sour. Especially compared to Navelina oranges, it is less acidic. It is very juicy, which is why the Newhall orange is mainly enjoyed as orange juice
The fruits of the Newhall orange ripen from November to the end of January/beginning of February
